RiverHawks swept away by Aggies
LAWTON, Oklahoma (March 6) – All four games were close, but in the end it was the Aggies who came away with the victory each time. This weekend the Cameron baseball team (10-6, 10-6 LSC) swept their Lone Star Conference series with the Northeastern State RiverHawks (9-13, 7-9 LSC) at home at McCord Field. CU outscored NSU 27-21 to take the 4-0 sweep.

Storm surprise Aggies with 3-1 win
DURANT, Oklahoma (February 28) – Cameron’s nationally-ranked baseball team (6-6, 6-6 LSC) was surprised this weekend with a 3-1 series defeat at the hands of the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm (10-5, 7-5 LSC). The #26 Aggies dropped both games on Saturday, as well as Sunday’s opener before taking the series finale.

Aggies split with ‘Hounds in opener
LAWTON, Oklahoma (February 20) – Cameron’s baseball team (5-3, 5-3 LSC) opened up their 2010 home season this weekend with a split with the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds. On both Friday and Saturday the Aggies won a game and lost a game; the team played very well throughout the weekend.

Lyons named LSC Hitter of the Week
RICHARDSONTexas (February 17) – The starting left fielder for your nationally-ranked #19 Cameron Aggie baseball team (3-1, 3-1 LSC) was named the Lone Star Conference Diamond Hitter of the Week this week by the conference offices. Lyons had an absolutely phenomenal opening weekend for the Black and Gold, as his 10 hits, 10 RBI, and .526 batting average led the team to a 3-1 series win over then-#18 Angelo State.

#28 CU wins series with #18 ASU
SAN ANGELO, Texas (February 13) – The 2010 season finally began for the nationally-ranked #28 Cameron Aggie baseball team (3-1, 3-1 LSC)… and it could not have started much better. After waiting two weeks to begin their year, CU traveled south this weekend and took 3 of 4 from the #18 Rams of Angelo State (5-5, 1-3 LSC).

Cameron to start season in 3rd
RICHARDSON, Texas (January 28) – With 308 total votes, the Cameron Aggie baseball team will begin the 2010 season in 3rd place out of 12 Lone Star Conference schools. CU received 4 of 29 first-place votes, behind Abilene Christian (16) and Angelo State (9). The Aggies will also start the season ranked nationally in a tie at 28th place.
