Lone Star ConferenceCameron to start season in 3rd
RICHARDSON, Texas (January 28) – With 308 total votes, the Cameron Aggie baseball team will begin the 2010 season in 3rd place out of 12 Lone Star Conference schools. CU received 4 of 29 first-place votes, behind Abilene Christian (16) and Angelo State (9). The Aggies will also start the season ranked nationally in a tie at 28th place. CU was set to begin their season on February 1 against the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, but the game has been postponed indefinitely.

Barnett signs with Miners
SAUGET, Illinois (October 27) – The Southern Illinois Miners, an independent minor league baseball team from the acclaimed Frontier League, signed former CU centerfielder Josh Barnett today following an impressive tryout. Barnett was drafted in the third round of the annual Frontier League Fall Try-Out/Work-Out draft at the GCS Stadium in Sauget, Illinois. Barnett recorded a .375 batting average, 19 home runs, 82 RBI, and a .458 on-base percentage in his two seasons with the Cameron Aggies. Barnett is originally from Lubbock, Texas, and transferred to CU prior to the 2008 season from the University of Texas-San Antonio.

#6 CU’s 10-6 win keeps LSC’s alive
ABILENE, Texas (May 3) – Cameron fans can keep their Abilene hotel reservations at least one more night after the Aggie baseball team (42-14) knocked out the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds (28-28) today by the score 10-6. CU staved off elimination for one more day and now sits at 1-1 in the 2009 Lone Star Conference Championship tournament. All games of the event are played at Crutcher Scott Field on Abilene Christian’s campus.

9 Ags honored, Holland the COY
ABILENE, Texas (May 1) – An amazing 10 members of the Cameron Aggie baseball team were honored at tonight's Lone Star Conference awards banquet. Head Coach Todd Holland was named as the LSC Coach of the Year for the third time of his career, while 9 CU baseballers were named to an All-Conference team. Brad Bichel, Logan Grimes, James Maxwell, Nate Arevalo, and Josh Barnett were named to the LSC All-Conference First Team; Thomas Dicker and Alex Lyons were named to the LSC All-Conference Second Team; and Blake Watson and Clint Powell were both named to the LSC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team. In the Special Awards categories, Bichel was named the LSC Pitcher of the Year and Arevalo was named the LSC Co-Player of the Year.

Arevalo, Nyhart named All-Academic
ABILENE, Texas (May 1) – A handful of Cameron Aggie baseballers were honored for their work in the classroom tonight as seniors Kyle Nyhart (C) and Nate Arevalo (DH/3B/2B) were named to the 2009 Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team. Senior Chris Caves (3B/C/RF) was also honored for his academics on the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. All three players have had incredible seasons both on and off the field for CU.

Cameron wins LSC regular season title
LAWTON, Oklahoma (April 25) – After getting the sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma State (SWOSU) this weekend, the Cameron Aggie baseball won the Lone Star Conference regular season title. Once again the Aggies came through with a LSC series victory after beating SWOSU this weekend 4-0.
