Season over, Aggies win 35 games
ABILENE, Texas (May 5) – The Cameron Aggie baseball team (35-22) fell one victory short of tying the Cameron University school record for wins in a season this afternoon after ending their season with a 7-4, extra-inning (12) loss to the Javelinas of Texas A&M-Kingsville. CU started the Lone Star Conference Championship tournament on fire with a 20-2 victory over the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm on Saturday, but then lost to the Central Oklahoma Bronchos 12-6 last night to put them one loss away from elimination.

Ags sweep ‘Dogs, end regular season
WEATHERFORD, Oklahoma (April 26) – In the final regular season action of the season, the Cameron Aggie baseball team (34-20, 27-17 LSC) today completed their four-game weekend sweep of the Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs (12-36, 10-33 LSC). The Aggies won yesterday’s double-header at McCord Field in Lawton, then continued their roll with a double-header sweep today in Weatherford. Cameron’s next action will be late next week in the Lone Star Conference Championship tournament.

Baseball comes from behind,
wins 10-9
LAWTON, Oklahoma (April 15) – As part of today’s McMahon Foundation Day festivities, the Cameron Aggie baseball team (30-16, 23-13 LSC) hosted the Central Oklahoma Bronchos (29-18, 20-15 LSC) in the final game of their season series. Both teams battled throughout the contest but Cameron came out on top 10-9. Cameron now holds a 4-1 series advantage over Central Oklahoma this year.

Third place CU takes three from WT
CANYON, Texas (April 6) – Continuing their blistering tear through the Lone Star Conference, the Aggie baseball team (27-14, 21-11 LSC) this weekend traveled west to take on the West Texas A&M Buffs (8-32, 5-26 LSC). With the 2008 season entering its final month, the Aggies stole three of the four games on the road this weekend to strengthen their third-place position in the conference standings. The series was pushed back a day as the teams played a double-header on both Saturday and Sunday. CU and WTAMU split Saturday’s double-header, and CU swept this afternoon’s double-header.

USAO ends CU’s win streak
LAWTON, Oklahoma (April 1) – In what may end up being the final non-conference game of the 2008 season, the Cameron Aggie baseball team (24-13, 18-10 LSC) hosted the Drovers of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (14-15, 8-10 SAC) today at McCord Field. The teams matched up in a seven-inning game in what was originally scheduled as the second half of a home-and-home series between the schools. Last week’s game between CU and USAO in Chickasha, Oklahoma, was cancelled due to high winds.

CU sweeps ECU back to Ada
LAWTON, Oklahoma (March 30) – For the second time in three weekends, Aggie fans can break out their brooms for the Cameron baseball team. Today at McCord Field, the Aggie baseballers (21-12, 15-10 LSC) completed their four-game, weekend sweep of the East Central University Tigers (14-22, 11-14 LSC). Cameron won the first game of the series on Friday, swept yesterday’s double-header, and finished off the series with this afternoon’s victory. This weekend’s baseball action saw just about everything from a walk-off double, to a near-ejection by one head coach, to even a complete game victory.
