Assistant Coach Nate Gamet

Nate GametNate Gamet is entering his second season as the assistant coach of Cameron's men's basketball team. He was hired by Head Coach Wade Alexander in early August of 2008.

Gamet helped lead the Aggie men to their first postseason appearance in more than a decade during the 2008-2009 season, his first under eventual Lone Star Conference Coach of the Year Wade Alexander.

Gamet came to CU from Northwest Missouri State University where he spent the last five years as an assistant coach. During his tenure with the Bearcats, Gamet helped lead the team to three Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) championships and one regional championship. He also received his graduate degree in Athletic Administration from NMSU.

As a graduate assistant at NMSU, Gamet and the Bearcats finished with a 24-8 record and an appearance in the NCAA Regional tournament. NMSU fell to the Lone Star Conference’s Central Oklahoma Bronchos in the tournament.

Throughout his career at NMSU, Gamet coached two All-Americans, two MIAA Players of the Year, one Freshman of the Year, five All-Conference players and two All-Region players. He also helped lead the Bearcat squad to a conference and two tournament championships, as well as a regional championship.

Originally from Princeton, Missouri, Gamet lives in Lawton with his wife Katrina and baby girl Alexis. His hobbies include family, friends, golf, and other outdoor activities. He attained his undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education from Northwest Missouri State.
