Leslie MaloneAggies bring home postseason accolades
LAWTON, Oklahoma (March 12) - Despite coming up just short in their bid for a postseason tournament berth, the Cameron Aggie men's basketball team was honored nicely with numerous postseason awards and accolades. Junior forward Leslie Malone was named to the Daktronic's South Central All-Region First Team, as well as to the Lone Star Conference All-Conference Second Team. His teammate, sophomore guard Greg Morgan, was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Conference Honorable Mention Team. Kallan Glasgow, another of CU's sophomore guards, was honored for his academic work this season and was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team.

Tip-in gives Aggie men big victory
COMMERCE, Texas (February 27) – Tonight in an absolute thriller, the Cameron men’s basketball team (6-20, 4-7 LSC-North) needed overtime and a tip-in with just over a second left on the clock to record their sixth victory of the season. The Aggies had traveled to Commerce, Texas, to battle the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions and came away with a nail-biting victory. The final score was 93-91 as the Aggies won it in the third and final frame. Tonight’s contest was Cameron’s final road game of the season.

Playoffs closer for CU
DURANT, Oklahoma (February 20) – Still needing to record a few more victories in order to clinch a berth in the Lone Star Conference Championship tournament, the Aggie men’s basketball team (5-19, 3-6 LSC-North) tonight took to the road to battle the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm (3-21, 0-9 LSC-North). Cameron’s postseason hopes are still alive after the Aggies put away the Storm, 73-72. The game was very intense and gave CU the season sweep of SOSU.

CU loses close one at ECU
ADA, Oklahoma (February 13) – The Cameron Aggie men’s basketball team (4-18, 2-5 LSC-North) lost a tight one tonight on the road, falling to the Tigers of East Central University (13-10, 3-5 LSC-North). The final score was 77-73 in favor of the Tigers. The Aggies put together a very strong first half and narrowly missed out on their third conference victory of the season.

CU can’t finish off Lions, still in hunt
LAWTON, Oklahoma (February 6) – Looking to move into third place in the Lone Star Conference North Division and closer to a postseason berth, the Cameron Aggie men’s basketball team (4-17, 2-4 LSC-North) tonight hosted the Lions of Texas A&M University-Commerce. CU entered the night in fourth place, and unfortunately that’s where they remained after falling to TAMU-C by the score 93-78. Had they won, the Aggies would have moved into third place one spot ahead of the Lions. Now CU is tied with Northeastern State and East Central at fourth place. The top four teams in both the LSC North and South divisions advance to the LSC Championship postseason tournament.

CU plays hard at first-place SWOSU
WEATHERFORD, Oklahoma (February 2) – Looking to win their third conference game in a row and move closer to a postseason berth, the Cameron Aggie men’s basketball team (4-16, 2-3 LSC North) went on the road to Weatherford, Oklahoma, today to take on the Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs (17-3, 5-0 LSC North). In the end SWOSU defeated CU by the score 79-63, further strengthening their first-place conference lead. The Aggies fought back in the second half, but did not have enough to knock off the streaking ‘Dogs.

2006-2007 Highlights
 
- Defeated three teams that eventually qualified for the D-II National Tournament: Pittsburg State, Midwestern State, West Texas A&M

- Defeated five nationally-ranked (Top 25) teams: Tarleton State, Midwestern State, Pittsburg State, West Texas A&M, and Southwestern Oklahoma State

- Senior guard Matthew Reid named to Second-Team All-Lone Star Conference for second consecutive season

- Achieved the second-most D-II wins since Cameron University was elevated to Division-II status 18 years ago

- Third-consecutive year with a winning record in Lone Star Conference Crossover contests.
