Stewart, Schroer win awards

BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma (March 2) – Josie Stewart was recognized by the Lone Star Conference for her impressive 2009-2010 campaign as the LSC Newcomer of the Year tonight at the postseason awards banquet. She was also named to the LSC All-Conference Second team, while teammate Amber Schroer was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll for academics.

CU squeezes out Senior Day win
LAWTON, Oklahoma (February 27) – It was a crazy conclusion, but in the end the Cameron Aggie women’s basketball team (9-18, 5-9 LSC-N) wrapped up their 2009-2010 season with a big win this afternoon. CU splits the season series with Texas A&M-Commerce (4-22, 1-13 LSC-N) after defeating the Lions 82-80 today in the Aggie Gym in a Lone Star Conference North Division match-up.

First place ‘Hawks top Aggies, 71-42
TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma (February 24) – The Northeastern State RiverHawks all but locked up first place in the Lone Star Conference North Division with a 71-42 defeat of the Cameron Aggies tonight in Tahlequah. The CU women’s basketball team (8-18, 4-9 LSC-N) put up a good fight, but the ‘Hawks (23-5, 12-1) took control down the stretch.

Big Homecoming win for CU women
LAWTON, Oklahoma (February 20) – It was a fantastic Homecoming celebration for the Cameron Aggie women’s basketball team (8-17, 4-8 LSC-N) after they thumped the East Central Tigers (12-13, 4-8 LSC-N), 80-66. On a day when countless alumni reunited on the CU campus, the Aggie women got everyone in a great mood with their big Lone Star Conference North Division victory.

Aggie women can’t weather Storm
DURANT, Oklahoma (February 17) – A very strong second half pushed the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm (18-6, 8-3 LSC-N) past the Cameron Aggie women’s basketball team (7-17, 3-8 LSC-N) tonight in Durant. Despite tonight’s Lone Star Conference North Division loss, the Aggie women still have a shot at making the playoffs.

UCO pulls away from CU, 87-66
EDMOND, Oklahoma (February 13) – A late run pushed a surging Central Oklahoma Bronchos (18-5, 9-1 LSC-N) women’s basketball team past the Cameron Aggies (7-16, 3-7 LSC-N) tonight in Edmond. UCO defeated CU 87-66 to sweep the season series. UCO won the season’s earlier match-up 89-69, and tied a school record with their eighth straight win this evening.
