CU bolsters roster with Juco stars

LAWTON, Oklahoma (June 9) – Cameron Aggie head women’s basketball coach Tom Webb rounded out his 2009-2010 recruiting class today with another trio of standout players. The final three additions are all transfers from junior colleges, and will be expected to make an immediate impact on next year’s squad. Today, Luv Rattler, Josie Stewart, and Jessica Priest were all added to the 2009-2010 Aggie roster.

Talented trio added to Aggie women
LAWTON, Oklahoma (June 5) – Further strengthening his 2009-2010 Aggie women’s basketball roster, head coach Tom Webb today announced the signing of another three student-athletes. A pair of high-school standouts and a Division-I transfer make up the latest group of recruits, with all three individuals preparing to make the transition from the Lone Star State to the Lone Star Conference.

Four in-state stars added
LAWTON, Oklahoma (June 4) – The first Cameron Aggie women’s basketball signings of the 2009-2010 season were announced today by Head Coach Tom Webb, who is in his second year with CU. Four of the state’s top prospects have agreed to play for the Aggies next year, coming to Lawton from all over the state. CU’s newest additions are Kelsi West (Collinsville), Jordan Kauk (Leedey), Brittany Elkins (Waurika), and Natalie Colton (Edmond North).

Tigers squeeze by Aggies
LAWTON, Oklahoma (February 28) – A mere 2.7 seconds was all the time the East Central Tigers (9-19, 3-11 LSC North) needed to upset the Cameron Aggie women’s basketball team (6-21, 1-13 LSC North) today at home. The Aggies were in control for much of today’s game, but a late run and a basket with less than 3 seconds remaining by the Tigers ended CU’s season with the loss. This afternoon’s defeat ends the 2008-2009 season for Cameron.

Storm too much for Aggie women
DURANT, Oklahoma (February 25) – In their final road game of the 2008-2009 season, the Cameron Aggie women’s basketball team (6-20, 1-12 LSC North) fell to the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm (20-6, 11-3 LSC North) by the score 70-46. The Aggies are 2-10 on the road this season and host their final game of the year this weekend. With the win SOSU secures the two-game season sweep of CU.

Aggies play hard against #17 UCO
LAWTON, Oklahoma (February 21) – The Cameron Aggie women’s basketball team (6-19, 1-11 LSC North) came up just short today in their annual Homecoming game. Against the nationally-ranked #17 Central Oklahoma Bronchos (21-4, 11-1 LSC North), the Aggies lost by the score 62-47. Today’s rivalry game was very competitive but in the end UCO was just too much for a strong CU squad.
