 Dear Aggie Fan,
Cameron University has a rich tradition in quality athletics and the time has come to honor the people responsible for building the Aggie reputation. The fact is it's past time to honor these people, but as the saying goes, "better late than never". The only ingredient left are the nominees and that is where we need your help. The Cameron University Athletics Hall of Fame Selection Committee has put together the avenue for interested parties to nominate past student athletes, coaches, boosters, media, or any other person you think made a difference in Cameron Athletics. Please log on to goaggies.cameron.edu for information regarding the nomination process and ongoing updates on the Athletics Hall of Fame. I invite and encourage you to explore your memory bank, get out the old photos, study your game programs from years past, or just talk to your friends and reminisce about the "good ole Aggie days". Please help us make this the huge success it can and should be as we honor past Aggie heroes. I assure you we will all have fun doing it. In February 2008, we will gather during Homecoming/Alumni Weekend and honor our inaugural class during an induction ceremony. That same weekend we will honor one past athletic team with a reunion. I welcome any suggestions or comments in order to make this a very special annual event. Cameron Aggies are on the way to the top of the Lone Star Conference and I sincerely believe the Cameron University Athletics Hall of Fame will help get us to that goal. Whether you are a past, present, or a future Aggie, please consider helping us any way you can. Financial and in-kind donations are always welcome. The Cameron Gold Club is the booster organization for the Aggies. I encourage you to become a part of this worthy organization. I hope to CU in February at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony as I know I will CU you at the games. Sincerely,
