LAWTON, Okla. (Aug. 28) - Senior Kelsey Kosick proved why she was selected as the Lone Star Conference North Division preseason player of the year on Thursday, leading the Cameron women's volleyball team to a come-from-behind win over Angelo State.
Kosick, a 5-11 outside hitter from Fort St. John, British Columbia, blasted a match-high 24 kills and posted a hefty .444 hitting percentage, as the Aggies won in five sets by scores of 28-30, 30-22, 25-30, 30-24, 15-6. Junior Morgan Meyer added 13 kills and sophomore Jennifer Landry chipped in 10, as Coach Kim Vinson's Aggies won their fourth straight season opener. Angelo State fell to 0-1.

Freshman setter Vicki Ibarra recorded 54 of Cameron's 58 total assists, which was 10 better than Angelo State's 48 total. The Aggies also recorded more blocks, more digs, more service aces and fewer errors.
Three Angelo State players posted double-digit kills in the match, led by junior middle blocker Nicole Stoffel's 13.
Cameron will continue action on Friday, as the Aggies host the annual First Serve Invitational, presented by Comanche County Memorial Hospital and Red Lion Hotel.
