Kosick earns third straight LSC award
RICHARDSON, Texas (Oct. 13) -- Cameron's Kelsey Kosick continued her torrid offensive pace in two Aggie volleyball victories last week. Today, her efforts were rewarded with a third consecutive Lone Star Conference North Division Player of the Week award.
Kosick was named this week's LSC North Hitter of the Week after producing a jaw-dropping attack percentage of .579 as Cameron vaulted to the top of the divisional standings with straight-set victories over Texas A&M-Commerce and Southeastern Oklahoma. Kosick totaled 36 kills in just six games for the Aggies, while committing just three errors. She had 21 kills and five service aces against Texas A&M-Commerce on Thursday, then followed that performance with 15 kills, 10 digs and two blocks against SOSU on Saturday.
It was the fourth overall Player of the Week award this season for Kosick, who was voted the preseason Player of the Year in the LSC North. She was selected as the division's Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 6, and was named Hitter of the Week on Sept. 2 and Sept. 29.
Kosick, who entered the week ranked sixth nationally in kills per game, improved that figure to a conference-best 5.40 with last week's effort. The 5-11 senior outside hitter also leads the LSC in service aces per game (0.77), while ranking in eighth in hitting percentage (.259) and seventh in digs per game (3.68).
Cameron (13-9, 3-0 LSC North) hits the road for a pair of critical LSC North contests this week. The Aggies travel to Denton, Texas, to face Texas Woman's University on Thursday, before heading to Wichita Falls to take on Midwestern State on Saturday.

-- Morgan Meyer (ninth, kills per game, 3.44)
-- Vicki Ibarra (third, assists per game, 11.54)
-- Jenny Head (second, digs per game, 4.59)
In the overall team statistics, Cameron ranks fifth in hitting percentage (.185), fourth in opponent hitting percentage (.174), fourth in assists per game (12.81), fourth in kills per game (14.38), third in blocks per game (1.98), fourth in service aces per game (1.93) and second in digs per game (17.28).
