LAWTON, Okla. (April 9) - Cameron erupted for six runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, including a three-run homer by Steve Clark, to score a come-from-behind victory over Southeastern Oklahoma State on Friday at McCord Field.

Coach Todd Holland's Aggies trailed 3-2 going into the bottom of the eighth, but rallied to improve to 21-12 overall and 7-6 in conference play with an 8-3 win over the Savages.

Both teams will be back in action Saturday at Cameron's McCord Field for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.

Southeastern took the lead in the top of the eighth, scoring two runs on three hits off Cameron starter Garrett Ritter. Justin Bowen's two-RBI double down the left field line made it 3-2 Savages.

But Cameron came alive in the bottom half of the inning. Chris Balsiger opened the inning with a single off the foot of SOSU pitcher Adam Bennett. After a sacrifice bunt by Mike Espinoza moved Balsiger to second, Ben Wyckoff rapped a triple down the right field line to tie the game at 3-3 off Southeastern reliever Dustin McKay. Cody Brooks followed with a double to the gap in left-center, scoring Wyckoff, and Trey Chambers plated Brooks with a single through the right side.

After Rodney DeLong was hit by a pitch for the second time in the game, Clark belted one over the right field wall to put the game out of reach.

Jesse McDermott came on to work the ninth inning in relief, striking out two of the four batters he faced. Ritter (4-1) scattered six hits over eight innings, allowing three earned runs while striking out three.

Cameron scored first in the bottom of the fourth. Josh Burkhart drew a two-out walk, then stole second before scoring on a single by Brooks, who finished the game 3-for-5 at the plate with two runs scored and two RBI.

Southeastern answered in the top of the fifth with a solo home run by George Martinez. But Cameron regained the lead in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI single by DeLong.
