WICHITA FALLS, Texas (Oct. 7) - Playing in front of her hometown crowd, sophomore Taran Turner helped keep the Cameron volleyball team undefeated in conference play on Thursday. The Wichita Falls native had a match-high six blocks to go with 12 kills as the Aggies moved to 11-10 overall and 3-0 in Lone Star Conference North Division play with a four-set victory over Midwestern State.

Cameron won by scores of 30-18, 30-32, 30-17, 30-17, collecting its 23rd consecutive victory over the Lady Indians, including a perfect 9-0 mark in LSC North competition. The Aggies' last loss to MSU came midway through the 1990 campaign.

Coach Kim Vinson's squad jumped on the Lady Indians with an easy Game 1 win. But Midwestern evened the match score in the second frame, capitalizing on 11 Aggie hitting errors.

Cameron regrouped to turn in a pair of impressive efforts in the final two games of the match. After the second game, the Aggies committed just three hitting errors the rest of the way, posting a combined attack percentage of .342 in Games 3 and 4.

Senior outside hitter Morgan Meyer led the way for the Aggie offense with a match-high 18 kills on .325 hitting. Nicole Reinhart was once again efficient at the net, as well. The two-time reigning LSC North Offensive Player of the Week, Reinhart had just one attack error and a .400 hitting percentage with 11 kills.

Sophomore Vicki Ibarra had 52 assists and senior Jenny Head added to hear conference-leading dig total with a match-high 24. Lawton sophomore Ashley Rikard collected four of Cameron's 10 service aces in the match.

Turner's twin sister Tayler, who also enjoyed a standout career at Wichita Falls' Rider High School, chipped in four blocks, 12 digs and seven kills in the return to her hometown.

Next up for the Aggies is another conference road test at Texas Woman's University on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers lost in five sets to Central Oklahoma at home Thursday night. Cameron returns home to host Central Oklahoma in a showdown of the LSC North's top two teams on Thursday, Oct. 14.
