Cameron slipped one spot from its final fall ranking of 14, despite posting an impressive come-from-behind victory in this week’s St. Edward’s Spring Invitational in Austin, Texas. The Aggies rallied from nine strokes back entering the final round to defeat second-round leader Central Oklahoma by nine strokes, winning the team title in the tournament by two strokes over host St. Edwards. Central Oklahoma, meanwhile, jumped seven spots to No. 4 in the nation, despite the third-place finish. Northeastern State, the only other LSC school in the poll, slipped one spot to No. 22.
South Carolina-Aiken continued its hold on the top spot in the poll despite its seven-tournament winning streak being snapped by a tied for sixth finish at the AASU/Southbridge Pirate Invitational. The Pacers earned eight first-place votes to stay at No. 1.
Cal State-Bakersfield stayed in second while West Florida moved up one spot to third. Hawaii-Hilo, which was ranked second in the final fall poll, dropped from second to sixth despite receiving one first-place tally. Columbus State made the biggest move in the poll, leaping 14 spots to No. 11. Delta State and Grand Canyon also took big climbs in the poll - up six spots to Nos. 12 and 13, respectively. Saint Martin's fell from the Top 10 to No. 14, followed by Cameron, Barry, Valdosta State, Nova Southeastern and Armstrong Atlantic State.
