LAWTON, Okla. (March 25) - Coach Todd Holland's Aggie baseball team ended a four-game losing skid this weekend, taking three of four games from Lone Star Conference rival Eastern New Mexico at McCord Field.

Cameron won both games on Thursday by scores of 12-7 and 7-4, before settling for a split on Friday to improve to 14-11 overall on the season. The Aggies will open LSC North Division play on Wednesday, hosting Southeatern Oklahoma State in a doubleheader expected to begin at 1 p.m.

The Aggies broke a 2-2 tie with a seven-run third inning in the first game of the series on Thursday. Cameron posted just three hits in the inning, but one was a bases-loaded triple by Clint Powell and the others were RBI singles by Rodney DeLong and Matt Castillo. The Aggies also benefitted from three hit batters, two walks and an ENMU error in the frame.

In the second game, Cameron rallied from a 3-0 deficit, scoring a combined seven runs in the fifth and sixth innings to take control. John Herbert blasted a three-run homer in the fifth to knot the score at 3-3, before the Aggies took the lead on a two-RBI double by Cody Brooks in the sixth.

Cameron collected just three hits in the first game on Saturday against the Greyhounds, but got a 2-for-3 performance at the plate from Kacy Groves and two more RBIs from Brooks in the nightcap to win the series.
