Aggies selected to NCAA Regional field
INDIANAPOLIS (April 22) – Cameron will be among the 80 NCAA Division II men's golf teams vying for this year's national title. Coach Jerry Hrnciar's 14th-ranked Aggies were officially named to the postseason field in a release by NCAA officials on Friday.
Cameron, which finished second at last week's Lone Star Conference championships, enters the postseason as the No. 2 seed in the South Central Regional, which is scheduled for May 2-4, in Valdosta, Ga. Central Oklahoma, ranked No. 3 in the latest Golf Coaches Association of America Division II Top 25, is the No. 1 seed in the regional. Cameron finished 19 strokes ahead of the Brochos at the LSC meet.
Five "super regional" events, encompassing the current ten NCAA II regions, will take place at sites nationwide. The top team from each region within the super regional and the top individual not with a team from each super regional (regardless of region) will advance to the Division II National Championships, May 17-20, at The Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Ga. The finals will be hosted by Armstrong Atlantic State University.
Listed below are the participating teams and individuals in the South/South Central Super Regional in which Cameron will participate.
