DUNCAN, Okla. (May 2) – Central Oklahoma and Florida Southern endured nearly four hours of weather delays to hold on to their respective leads Tuesday at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf South/South Central Super Regional at The Territory Golf Club.
Coach Jerry Hrnciar's Cameron squad slipped from second to fourth in the South Central standings, turning in a team score of 296 (+8), as area lightning forced a pair of lengthy delays during the second round of the 54-hole meet. Tuesday's starting times were moved back one hour before teams sat through another lightning delay of 2 hours, 47 minutes, midway through the round.
UCO, which opened play Monday with a five-under-par team score of 283, fired a seven-over 295 on Tuesday, but none of the remaining seven teams in the South Central field were able to take advantage. The eighth-ranked Bronchos enter Wednesday's final round with a seven-stroke lead over second place St. Edward's and an eight-shot advantage over St. Mary's. Cameron sits in fourth, one stroke behind St. Mary's with a two-day total of 587 (+11).

Boles shot even-par 72 on Tuesday and has a four-under total of 140 through 36 holes. Lovins also shot 72 on Tuesday, while Risenhoover carded a 73. UCO's Todd Dayton and Blake Slaughter of St. Edward's round out the Top 5, each with a one-under total of 143.

Florida Southern finished the day as the only team below par. The Mocs, who shot an impressive 10-under team score of 278 Monday, turned in a 291 in the second round, but still lead third-ranked Lynn University by nine strokes entering the final 18 holes. Lynn posted the only sub-par team score on Tuesday, with a one-under 287, to pick up four shots on FSC.
Individually, North Alabama's Heath Jones posted the low round of the day with a four-under 68 to vault into the individual lead. Jones' two-day total of 138 (-6) is one stroke better than FSC's Brett Blondell and Will Grace of West Florida.
