LAWTON, Okla. (May 30) – Cameron University women’s golf coach Rick Goodwin has announced the addition of Cache native Anna Hataway to his squad. A 2006 All-State selection, Hataway has signed on to join the Aggies for the 2006-07 season.

She finished in first place at the 3A State Qualifying tournament earlier this year and helped lead Cache to a third-place showing at the Regional Championships, as well.

In addition to her outstanding effort on the course, Hataway excelled in the classroom at Cache High School. She earned a Graduate of Distinction Award this year and was a member of both the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society. The daughter of Gary and Mary Hataway, she plans to study communications and animal science at Cameron.

In its first season of intercollegiate competition in 2005-06, the Cameron women’s golf team finished sixth at the 2006 Lone Star Conference championships. Lawton natives Lauren Gonzales, Laura Madden and Renee Breeze each earned All-LSC honorable mention honors after leading the Aggies in their inaugural season.
