Aggies finish St. Mary's Invite 2-3 SAN ANTONIO, Texas (February 7) – The 2010 Cameron softball season began with a 2-3 showing at this weekend's St. Mary's Invitational tournament. CU (2-3) defeated the likes of Texas A&M-Kingsville 8-1 and Texas-Permian Basin 4-1 at the event, but fell to Tarleton State 4-1, #22 West Texas A&M 13-0, and Eastern New Mexico 8-4. CU picked 4th, Harvey named POY RICHARDSON, Texas (January 27) – Lone Star Conference Preseason softball polls were released today and the Cameron Aggies were selected 4th in the LSC North Division with 77 votes. CU sophomore pitcher Carrie Harvey, the reigning LSC North Freshman of the Year, was selected Preseason Pitcher of the Year as well. FULL STORY>>
Watson signs power-hitting catcher LAWTON, Oklahoma (November 18) – This week Cameron’s head softball coach Beth Watson added a high-caliber, power-hitting catcher to her 2011 squad. Alex Milligan, a senior at Moore High School (Moore, Oklahoma) officially signed on to play for the Black and Gold this week and expectations are already at a high. FULL STORY>>
Aggies ranked #29 by NFCA for GPA STARKVILLE, Mississippi (October 5) – Cameron's softball team has the 29th-best grade point average (GPA) in all of NCAA Division II softball, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced today. With an overall team GPA of 3.297, the Aggie softball team has the second-highest GPA of all Lone Star Conference schools behind Texas Woman's (3.404). Aggies end season in 2nd round DURANT, Oklahoma (April 25) – Cameron’s softball team (32-22, 17-7 LSC North) saw it’s 2009 season come to an end today in their second game of the Lone Star Conference Championship tournament. A day after falling to the #5 Angelo State Rambelles 11-3, the Aggies lost to the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm by the score 6-3. Today’s game went into extra (nine) innings. FULL STORY>>
Aggies lose, but still alive at LSC’s DURANT, Oklahoma (April 24) – With the toughest road to the Lone Star Conference title, the Cameron Aggie softball team (32-21, 17-7 LSC North) opened up the LSC’s postseason tournament this afternoon with a tough 11-3 loss to the #5 Angelo State Rambelles.
