Athletic Director Jim Jackson
Jim Jackson is in his third year as Athletic Director at Cameron University, after serving the previous seven years as A.D. and head men's and women's golf coach at Pratt Community College in Pratt, Kan.
Jackson also was golf coach and head women's basketball coach at the University of Dallas and joined the Aggie athletic department with a wealth of experience in athletic administration, coaching and in the business sector.
A three-year captain on the varsity baseball team at Kansas Wesleyan, Jackson graduated in 1976 with a degree in education. After a successful business career that included three years of service with Texas Instruments and seven years with American Marazzi Tile, Jackson returned to his first love of coaching. He was named the athletic director at Lakehill Prep School in Dallas before moving to the University of Dallas in 1991.
Jackson earned a Master's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in sports management from the University of North Texas in 1997, and spent one year as director of The Texas Club in downtown Dallas. He was named the athletic director at Pratt Community College in 1998, and orchestrated the addition of PCC's men's and women's golf programs in 2002.
He guided the Beavers to three NJCAA regional golf championships, including the women's regional title in 2005. Jackson and his wife, Heather, live in Lawton with their two sons, Jimmy and Louis.
