Faculty Athletic Rep. Keith Vitense

Keith VitenseA faculty member of the Cameron University physical science department since 1988, Vitense is in his sixth year as faculty athletic representative for the Cameron Athletic Department. Since joining the CU faculty, Vitense has held positions on several academic committees, including the University's Intercollegiate Athletic Committee. In addition to his academic pursuits, Vitense is also certified by the state of Oklahoma as an athletic official in both baseball and football.

Vitense, who also serves as the public address announcer for Cameron volleyball and basketball home events, received his bachelor's degree in chemistry and mathematics from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D., in 1982. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from Oklahoma State University in 1988. Vitense lives in nearby Cache, Okla., with his wife Pamela and sons, Eric and Andy.
