Brianne SmedleyTalented duo added to CU volleyball
LAWTON, Oklahoma (June 11) – The first and second signees of the 2009 offseason were added to the Cameron Aggie volleyball team today by head coach Brianne Smedley. Incoming freshmen Joanie Dubberly of Lee’s Summit Community Christian High School (Lee’s Summit, MO) and Kellie Dickerson of Bishop Machebeuf High School (Denver, CO) were officially signed today and will join the squad for the 2009 season next fall.

Aggies named All-LSC

, Texas
(November 13) – Despite not making the Lone Star Conference Championship tournament this season, the Aggies were still awarded a number of LSC postseason accolades. After a tremendous season in which she led the team in kills, junior right-side hitter Lindsay Paziuk was named to the LSC All-Conference First Team. She was Cameron's only representative on the three All-Conference teams. Academically, seniors Whitney Long and Veronica Reeks, and junior Danielle Thomas were all named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Aggies end season above .500
DENTON, Texas (November 8) – With no playoffs in sight, the Cameron Aggie volleyball team (14-13, 5-8 LSC) ended their season today with a 3-0 loss to the Texas Woman’s Pioneers (19-12, 8-5 LSC) in Denton, Texas. CU and TWU battled back and forth in a very competitive match, but the Pioneers won 25-20, 25-21, 25-15. The Aggies now enter the off-season portion of their schedule.

CU sweeps TAMU-C, but playoffs out
COMMERCE, Texas (November 6) – It was a night of highs and lows for the Cameron Aggie volleyball team (14-12, 5-7 LSC) who tonight swept the Texas A&M -Commerce Lions (15-10, 7-5 LSC) 3-0 on the road in Commerce, Texas. Cameron outplayed their foes in nearly every aspect of the match and won 25-11, 26-24, 25-20. With one match left, CU secured an above-.500 final record but unfortunately was eliminated from postseason contention.

Aggies fall to ‘Belles on Senior Day
LAWTON, Oklahoma (November 1) – In their final home match of the season the Cameron Aggie volleyball team (13-12, 4-7 LSC) fell to the Angelo State Rambelles (18-13, 6-5 LSC) in a very competitive match. ASU defeated CU 3-1, and the sets were scored 18-25, 23-25, 25-22, 16-25. Today’s loss just about eliminates the Aggies from postseason contention, but depending on how the rest of the Lone Star Conference matches go this afternoon CU still may have a chance. The Aggies have two matches remaining this season.

‘Cats beat Ags 3-0
LAWTON, Oklahoma (October 30) – Clinching a postseason berth got a bit tougher for the Cameron Aggie volleyball team (13-11, 4-6 LSC) after they lost tonight’s match against the Abilene Christian Wildcats (20-8, 6-4 LSC). ACU swept CU 3-0, and the sets were scored 25-23, 25-19, 25-19. With three matches left in the regular season, the Aggies are trailing Central Oklahoma and Southeastern Oklahoma State for the final playoff spot.
