Goodwin signs top pair for 2010-2011
LAWTON, Oklahoma (December 1) – Cameron University head women’s golf coach Rick Goodwin recently signed two new high-caliber players for the 2010-2011 season. Lindsey Alexander from Southlake, Texas and Aleesha Holden from Fletcher, Oklahoma are the newest additions to the five year old Aggie women’s golf program. Alexander is the daughter of Steve and Tonda Alexander, while Holden is the daughter of Steve and Shelly Holden.

CU bags 9th place finish as OIW host
DUNCAN, Oklahoma (October 13) – Cameron’s women’s golf team wrapped up their annual hosting duties at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate for Women tournament today with a 9th place finish. A total of 13 teams participated in this week’s event, which was played at The Territory Golf and Country Club in Duncan. CU’s two-round score in the event was a 642 (318-324).

CU breaks records on way to 5th
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (October 6) – Cameron's Aggie women's golf team finished off a spectacular two-day performance today by breaking two school records at the Lady Broncho Masters Classic tournament hosted by Central Oklahoma at the Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City. Cameron placed 5th overall with a team score of 610 (306, 304).

Aggies climb to 9th out west
AMARILLO, Texas (September 29) – Today the Aggie women’s golf team wrapped up their final round in West Texas A&M’s annual Lady Buff Stampede tournament at La Paloma Country CLub in Amarillo, Texas. Cameron placed 9th overall out of 166 teams with a total team score of 700 (354,346).

Breeze first to win LSC scholarship
RICHARDSON, Texas (July 15) – Cameron women’s golfer Renee Breeze added to her remarkable 2008-2009 campaign this week when it was announced that she was one of the first recipients of the Lone Star Conference Degree Completion Scholarship. This is the first year the LSC has given out the scholarship, and only five student-athletes from the conference were given the award.

Wildcat added to Cameron Aggie golf
LAWTON, Oklahoma (April 28) – For the second time this spring Cameron head women’s golf coach Rick Goodwin announced the signing of a local standout to the 2009-2010 Aggie squad. Johnna Holden of Fletcher, Oklahoma, is the most recent addition to the CU women’s golf team, and will begin competing for the Black and Gold next fall. Holden graduates from Fletcher High School this May.
