George tops Aggie LSC honors RICHARDSON, Texas (April 22) – Senior Irene George was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Conference women's tennis team today for both singles and doubles. George, who played all season long at the top singles and doubles position for the Aggie women, was CU's only representative on the singles team. She was joined by doubles partner Sophia Rich on the doubles team as Cameron's top tandem. The #1 doubles duo of George and Rich had a nearly flawless 2008-2009 season on the court and in the classroom, and was a big reason the team once was at #25 in the national rankings. FULL STORY>>
Aggie tennis makes All-Academic RICHARDSON, Texas (April 22) – Cameron's Cristian Easton was honored as the 2009 Lone Star Conference Academic Player of the Year today by the LSC offices. Easton has had an incredible season for the #11 Aggie men's tennis program, and was the squad's lone representative on the LSC All-Academic team. Aggies prey on Cougars with sweep LAWTON, Oklahoma (April 21) – In a final tune-up match before the Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament, both Cameron Aggie tennis teams proved they are threats to take the LSC crown. CU faced the cougars from Collin County Community College and the men tormented their CCCC counterparts all afternoon and eventually pulled away with the 9-0 victory. Aggies bring down Patriots with ease LAWTON, Oklahoma (April 20) – The nationally-ranked Cameron Aggie tennis teams conquered the Patriots of Dallas Baptist University in dominating fashion today at the CU Tennis Complex. Aggie tennis sweeps away Storm DURANT, Oklahoma (April 15) –Cameron’s pair of nationally-ranked tennis teams swept their opponents for the second time this week today in Durant, Oklahoma.
